We’ve already passed the first half of the year.
How time flies!
I’ve accomplished a lot this year, especially rebuilding PODtomatic and powering it up with AI.
Now it can upload 200 products a day for each user, provide better mockup images, and significantly improve product titles, descriptions, bullet points, and keywords written by AI (which play a huge role in our sales improvement).
I’m pretty happy with this PODtomatic V2 (or AI) version.
Alright, now it’s time to report the stats from PODtomatic V2.
Here are the stats I captured on July 2, 2024.
These are the order stats for the past 30 days in June.
We made 227 sales in the past 30 days.
Here are the stats from the previous three months:
April - 103 sales May - 235 sales June - 227 sales
As expected, sales slowed down after Mother’s and Father’s Days. Unfortunately, we had fewer sales compared to last month, but this was anticipated.
Anyway, our average number of orders per upload decreased from 2300 uploads per order to 1715 per order.
This means the old products that were uploaded in previous months started making some sales too.
Alright, that’s the overall system stats.
Let me show you my own stats from PODtomatic AI.
This was captured early today.
Here are the detailed stats:
March - 6 sales
April - 8 sales
May - 14 sales
June - 14 sales
July (6 days) - 3 sales
I made the same number of sales in May and June. The first half of June was very good, but sales slowed starting in the second half because it was the beginning of the slow period.
July will be quiet, but I expect the sales won’t be too low.
In the past 3.5 months, PODtomatic AI has uploaded 23,401 products for me and already made 45+2 orders (+2 because I made two orders from the testing products, so they’re not shown here).
That means I made around 1 order for every 500 uploaded products.
PODtomatic uploads 200 products a day for me, so that’s one order every 2.5 days.
Note that the number wasn’t as good as this in the first two months that PODtomatic AI just started uploading products for me.
The first month was around 713 uploaded products for 1 order.
The second month was around 540 uploaded products for 1 order.
The third month was around 500 uploaded products for 1 order.
More products with more time = more sales.
The products that were uploaded in the first two months just started making some sales.
Also, my Amazon account is old, has a brand registry, and has already made many sales, so Amazon might give my products some perks.
I don’t want to give people too high expectations right from the start.
Building a print-on-demand business on Amazon is just like Rome.
It wasn’t built in a day. We need to have tons of products in our account, optimize the top-selling ones, and accumulate many good products to make consistent sales.
Anyone can do it, but we need to be very consistent.
We’re now in Q3, typically the slowest period since there aren’t many holidays where people buy gifts. Most of our products are gift-based, which impacts sales.
Anyway, the system started uploading ornaments to prepare for Q4 sales. I’m pleased to note that some ornaments have already sold, which is promising.
Q3 is our planting period. Let PODtomatic handle the uploads, focus on optimizing successful sales, and we’ll reap the rewards in Q4.
Here’s hoping Q3 won’t be too slow for us (fingers crossed).

P.S. At this product/order rate, I can’t wait to see the sales in the upcoming Q4.
I’ll have around 42,000 products from PODtomatic AI at the beginning of October and 48,000 products at the beginning of November.
I should be making many orders from FBM products only if the product/order rate keeps improving like this.
